Epoch 5 Embr VIP Update

We will be evolving Embr towards the next stage starting Epoch 5+. In Epoch 4, the Embr VIP criteria focused completely on Chains of Chaos. This brought a spectacle element to our largest pots (in particular the WHISPER vs PINT battle) —> next, we need to next stimulate activity immediately following a Chains of Chaos round, while supporting the birth of new tokens and challengers in Chains of Chaos. To support this, we will be channeling VIP towards the creators of those tokens that won Chains of Chaos and those that trade those winning tokens.

TLDR — We will continue to allocate 1m VIP points, but moving from 100% COC —> 50% on COC performance + 50% on creators and traders of COC winning tokens.

  1. COC Performance 50%, 500k VIP points. This is the same structure as our previous criteria, with ten rounds M-F, 15:00 UTC. Instead of 30/100/300k scoring, scoring will instead be eight 12.5k pots (M, T, Th, F) , two 200k pots (Wed). See the below chart for payouts based on rank. In Epoch 5, we will run seven 15k pots instead of eight 12.5k pots, to account for first COC being on Friday, rank scores will be adjusted proportionately.
  2. Some small pots may be used for experimental purposes —> these games will be free to play (meaning no meme payout), but will award VIP points.
Rank 12.5k pot 200k pot
1 1250 20 000
2-3 1000 16 000
4-5 800 12 000
6-10 600 8 000
11-20 300 4 000
21-50 100 1400
51+ 25 300
  1. COC creators and traders 50%, 500k VIP points. For each of the ten rounds of COC, there will be a winning token. The creators of these winning tokens will be given VIP. Traders of these tokens from within the epoch will be given VIP.
Type 12.5k pot 200k pot
Creator 3125 50 000
Traders 9375 150 000
  1. Note that trader + creator portions sum to the pot size. As an explicit example, suppose token A was the winner of the 200k pot. Then the creator of token A will receive 200k / 4 = 50000 VIP.
  2. Traders of winning tokens will be scored linearly based on their volume during the VIP epoch — this includes volume before that token won COC.

This update to Embr VIP’s scoring policy has been reviewed and approved by the VIP Committee.

Small typo above → in the last sentence on volume criteria for COC, “this includes volume before that token won COC” → “this involves volume after that token won COC”.
