TL;DR

points_buy  =  1 × INIT spent
points_sell =  0.5 × INIT received

Update VIP scoring as shown and introduce new free mint points (0–100, based on rarity tiers). Free mints serve as an onboarding event and help past-epoch participants maintain their score. The free mints will be whitelisted in 3 phases. Past epoch voters will be included on the whitelist.
We plan to create free mints on every other epoch, in between Featured Creators.

Background:

Current (Active) Scoring Formula

  • Featured Mint: 1.2 point per INIT spent + fixed “featured” bonus (25 points)

  • Normal Mint: 1 point per INIT spent

  • Featured Free Mint: 5 points fixed “featured” bonus

  • Buying : 1/6 points per INIT spent (with +10 % or +20 % boosts for offers/featured)

  • Selling: 1/12 points per INIT received

  • Other categories (collection creation, creator invites, epoch boosters, top 5 booster) remain unchanged:

  • For the creator: Collection Creation: 100 points

  • For the creator: Collection minting progress: 50 points

  • For the creator: Collection 100% minted at +1000 INIT: 100 points

  • Inviting new creators that get featured: 50 points

  • Epoch Pass Booster: +50% Bonus

  • Top 5 Collection Holder: +5% / +8% / +10% / +12% / +15% depending on volume on the current epoch.

Reason for Change

  • Marketplace activity is under-incentivized with low buy/sell weights.

  • Simplify to intuitive rates: 1 point per 1 INIT spent on buys; 0.5 point per 1 INIT received on sells.

  • Free mints will be adjusted to give more points and be relevant to the VIP scoring. They will be offered to other rollup users, past-epoch minters, past-epoch voters, epoch pass owners, and the Intergaze community; tiers (0–100 points) and who gets included can be adjusted over time to meet evolving needs.

Technical Implementation Plan
The Backend Update and new score system are ready to go. We would like to implement these changes starting in Epoch 4 (included).
